Chim Chim is proud to announce the second installment of its In residence art program, a collaboration with the celebrated Thai illustrator Pomme Chan and her talented team from Happy People Studio. 

With ‘Arcade of Dreams’, Pomme Chan brings her adventurous spirit to Chim Chim. Inspired by Chim Chim’s bright and bold persona, she and her creative team at Happy People Studio use the clean interior as an unorthodox canvas to reimagine the venue as a nostalgic playground. 

The exhibition invites you to unlock your inner child with a free-flowing homage to all that’s fun and cool from yesteryear - think retro gaming consoles, roller-skates, abstract Magic Eye-like patterns and more sweet treats than you can dream of. Guests can explore a variety of art installations strewn throughout Chim Chim. On the ground floor, vibrant, candy-colored canvas works hand from the wall depicting gems from Pomme Chan’s childhood, whether it’s kanom chan (a layered Thai dessert) or a good old game of marbles. The mezzanine, meanwhile, transforms into a retro-tastic arcade that’s home to analogue fun in the form of floor and hoop-throwing games, a sticker bomb wall, a Game Boy selfie mirror and zany Memphis-style wallpaper.

TAAN invites you to experience Chef Monthep “Thep” Kamolsilp's new seasonal menu, "Ayutthaya"—a culinary exploration into the roots of Thai cuisine and the cultural exchange that shaped it. 

Inspired by the ancient city of Ayutthaya, this menu pays homage to the diverse influences that have contributed to Thailand’s culinary heritage.
 
 
Step into the past and immerse yourself in the stories of Ayutthaya's rich gastronomic tapestry. Chef Thep's mission is to unravel the historical aspects that have shaped Thailand into the vibrant culinary destination it is today. Each of the ten courses showcases flavors, techniques and ingredients pulled from the city's vibrant cultural exchange. 


Going beyond a mere culinary experience, the menu aims to connect diners with the cultural heritage and culinary journey that shaped Thai cuisine. Each course tells a story of tradition, innovation and enduring flavors that have been passed down through generations, celebrating the past, present, and future of Thai cooking.


Dishes like Chef Thep’s version of “Boat Noodle” highlights how this dish has adapted itself into being a Thai staple through cultural exchange. Chef Thep’s take on this much-loved Thai staple combines hand-cut pork noodles, bloody chocolate emulsion, basil, anise and vermicelli crisp into a heady, aromatic course.


The “Koi Goong Pair”, meanwhile, pays tribute to Ayutthaya’s close proximity to the Chao Phraya River and its bountiful offerings. The dish pairs the local favorite of deep-fried tiny prawns (fresh river krill) with kaffir lime zest cotton candy for a creation that explodes with contrasting textures.

The Secret Chimber can accommodate up to 12 guests for a seated event and is perfectly adaptable for smaller parties.
